Forex (Forex Crow your Money) is not FOREX

We have become aware that people claiming to be from a company called Forex (Forex Crow you Money) contact and offer Swedish investors trading in securities, which according to FI is not permitted to conduct such activities either in Sweden or in the country they claim to be domiciled.

Forex (Forex Crow your Money) has nothing to do with FOREX. We also never contact customers and offer this type of service.

FOREX customers and employees for contributions to Save the Children

For many years, we at FOREX have collaborated with Save the Children to support their important work. FOREX, our employees and customers contribute both through collection boxes in stores but also through our Christmas gift to the organization.

FOREX supports Save the Children in two ways; through collection boxes in our stores and by donating the company's Christmas gift to the organization.

"Children are our future and there are far too many people living in poverty around the world, not least many who are now living on the run," says FOREX President and CEO Annelie Nässén. that denominations that cannot be sold back can be used to help the children who are having the toughest time around the world.

In 2024, FOREX's customers and employees have donated EUR 28,200 through the collection boxes in our Swedish and Danish stores. Many thanks to everyone who has donated!

- In addition to our customers' contributions, our Christmas gift this year will once again go to Save the Children. With the money, 120 refugee families receive food for a week. Thanks to our Christmas gift, FOREX will also become a friend company for Save the Children in 2025," concludes Annelie.

General information about currency

Restrictions for Danish and Norwegian krone

Denmark will carry out a banknote exchange in 2028. But as early as May 2025, all banknote editions older than 2009 will become invalid, including the Danish kroner from 2009. This has made it difficult to sell these banknotes on the market and we therefore no longer buy either DKK banknotes printed before 2009 or DKK 1,000 banknotes printed in 2009. In addition to this, we do not currently purchase more than DKK 3,000 from the 2009 series.

Furthermore, it is also difficult to sell NOK 1,000 banknotes on the market, which means that we do not buy these banknotes from customers either.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and are actively working to resolve the restrictions. FOREX always strives to offer the best possible service for currency exchange.

Swedish cash is not accepted abroad

It is unusual to take Swedish cash with you on holiday and exchange it for local currency abroad. But now FOREX has received indications from several quarters that Swedish kronor in cash is not at all bought/exchanged by foreign banks and exchange offices. A similar development was previously seen in Denmark with the same consequence for the Danish krone and it seems that the behavior has spread to Sweden. The information is somewhat scarce, but FOREX searches for explanations and will return with more information when available. The Swedish krona has been particularly viable abroad for a long time. FOREX recommends, as always, to arrange the travel currency before departure.

Sweden, Norway and Denmark are all on the top ten list in the world of countries that use the least cash in everyday life. Abroad, things often look different. Arrange your travel currency before departure and – although it is not very common – do not bring your Swedish cash abroad.
