Tip! In Morocco paying with cash is the easiest mean of payment in the country. You will need cash for example for taxi rides, shopping in the souq, the restaurants and cafés. You can pay by credit card in the larger department stores, the brand shops and in luxury restaurants. It´s common that you will be charged a fee of 5 - 10 % at these places if you choose to pay by card. Euros are used as the official currency in the Spanish enclaves (Ceuta and Melilla).
